Grace period

A grace period is a short window after an invoice's due date during which no reminder is sent, to allow for mail delays and payment runs already in progress.

Two or three days is typical. Longer than a week and the invoice starts aging out of the customer's attention before the first reminder arrives.

In Reeve

Reeve's default grace period is three days before the first follow-up, adjustable per workspace.
